La Mer is a Meraas beachfront destination of about 2.5 km of sand, restaurants and a waterpark, with the Port de La Mer residential community of apartments and townhouses beside it. Short-stay supply is limited and mostly apartments.

It is a low-rise, relaxed alternative to the Marina, popular with families who want the beach, Laguna Waterpark and seafront dining close by. Downtown and City Walk are a short drive inland.
